How we work
How we work
We are operators as much as investors. The value we create comes from what happens after completion, so we design every transaction around the integration that follows it.
What we look for
Five things, consistently.
Established businesses with a track record, not start-ups.
A meaningful share of recurring or repeat revenue.
A defined customer base that we understand — schools, niche consumer communities, professional services.
Founders who care what happens to their team and clients after the sale.
An opportunity for technology to change the economics of the work.
How a transaction runs
01
Introduction
A conversation about the business, the owner’s objectives and whether there is a fit with one of our platforms.
02
Outline terms
A clear, written proposal early, so nobody spends months on a deal that was never going to work.
03
Due diligence
Financial, commercial, legal and technical — done properly, done once.
04
Completion
Standard documentation wherever possible; bespoke where it matters.
05
Integration
A planned handover and a defined first hundred days, with the founder involved for as long as makes sense for both sides.
The operating model
Every portfolio company runs on the same disciplines.
Management rhythm
A structured meeting cadence, quarterly priorities and a shared scorecard, so leadership teams know what matters and whether it is being delivered.
Commitment-based management
Work is organised around explicit requests, promises and completions between people. It sounds simple; it changes how a business runs.
Shared systems
Common finance, project and CRM platforms across each vertical, so numbers reconcile, reporting is consistent, and integration is a known process rather than a one-off project.
Revenue and contract discipline
Standard client terms, disciplined revenue recognition, and clean, auditable records. A business that is well run is a business that is easy to understand.
Technology as a lever
In-gage builds tools that remove manual work from delivery. Where a task can be done by software, it is.
Partners and capital
We work alongside co-investors and strategic partners on selected transactions, and we are open to conversations with institutional investors who share our sector focus. We do not offer retail investment products.
